Caring for the Heart: The Foundation for a Caring Life

Special guest Leigh Deering from the Odiyan Retreat Center Faculty joins us for a special one-morning offering, a respite and a moment for each of us to reconnect to our own wisdom.

The heart is our best friend, wordlessly providing a sense of value and meaning to our lives. But often there is so much mental and emotional noise that we miss these feelings and messages. By connecting closely with our heart, we can uncover its qualities of courage, caring and clarity. Going beyond our usual ways, this deep heart-knowing communicates authentic friendly advice, direction and support in any circumstance of our lives.

In this class, through gentle Tibetan yoga exercises, breathing practices and guided meditation we discover what is nourishing for our own heart.  Protecting our inner well-being and potential becomes a satisfying endeavor instead of another to-do list. The quiet power of caring for ourselves and our own hearts is the foundation for caring for others, and our world in a way that is vitalizing and brings us joy.

The class will be held on Zoom from 10:00 to 11:30 on Saturday November 21.
