The Power of Buddhist Symbols (DHS416)
Buddhist art and architecture stand as guides to enlightenment. This workshop explores sacred forms and their symbolic language from an advanced perspective. We will look at purposes and practices involving prayer flags, prayer wheels, sacred art, eight auspicious symbols, and texts. Readings will be provided.
Instructors: Mark Henderson and Hugh Joswick. Cost: $50. Prerequisites: concurrent registration in DHS210 or consent of the Instructors.
