The Eight Great Bodhisattvas (DHS424)

These heroic exemplars of awakening can inspire us to open to the profundity of the Mahayana, a path which has the flavor of dynamic, compassionate activity as well as prajna, inconceivable wisdom that goes beyond ordinary knowing. In this 3-hour workshop, we are introduced to the eight great bodhisattvas — Manjushri, Vajrapani, Avalokitesvara, Maitreya, Akashagarbha, Kshitigarbha, Sarvanivaranavishkarmbhin, and Samantabhadra — and engage in mantra, visualization, and meditation upon some of these miraculous figures, who are so beloved in the Tibetan and Buddhist worlds.
