Shamatha Meditation Practice Online Intensive
In this mini-retreat we will meet online to practice for three two-hour sessions over the course of a single day: 9 am – 11 am, Noon – 2 pm, and 3 – 5 pm. This program is designed for experienced meditators who have a regular practice or who have attended retreats before. Sessions consist primarily of silent practice with minimal instruction.
We will be working with the first three shamatha (calm abiding) breath practices from Tarthang Tulku’s book, Practices on the Buddhist Path, which form a progression with each informing the next in a natural way. We will end the day with a practice for opening the heart.
Instructor: Pauline Yu. Cost: Suggested donation of $30, but we are committed to making this accessible for all who wish to join. Prerequisites: To create and maintain a container that provides maximum benefit, retreat participants are expected to commit to participate for the entire day. Please register by August 1.
