Organization
Centro Nyingma do Brasil
Centro Nyingma do Brasil, the Nyingma mandala in Sao Paulo, comprises Dharma Publishing and the Yeshe De Project, TAP and Grafica do Dharma, Art and Ceremonies, and Instituto Nyingma Sao Paulo.
In late 2017, a large stupa was completed that now occupies a beautiful space in the garden of the Institute. With the completion of the stupa, a new Ceremonies Leading Group was established to strengthen and support practice. This also led to the opening of a New Moon Ceremony to the public and an overall increase in attendance. In 2019, 5 new beginner courses and 3 new advanced courses were offered.
Another major program initiative at the Institute is Kum Nye Teacher Training. The KNTT was an important project for the Institute for both community engagement and economic stability. CNB is now starting the second KNTT course.
CNB’s activities also include retreats and workshops outside the Institute’s facilities. For some years now, the CNB was invited to hold a Kum Nye retreat for 25 people in Garopaba, a city in the state of Santa Catarina, in southern Brazil. In addition to this annual retreat, Kum Nye workshops have been held at SESC, a private institution that fosters culture, education and welfare for the population in the state.
Other CNB projects include prayer flags, silicone molds, frames, and planting seeds.
